Hello, my name’s Naz and I’m a third-year medical student studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University. I am also studying a Diploma of Languages (European) specialising in Spanish and Latin Studies.
I love to read, particularly poetry and Sylvia Plath as well as Romantic Gothicism in Jane Austen. In my spare time I’m a big fan of going to the gym and keeping active as well as a massive enthusiast for grabbing a coffee with mates.
I have 2-years experience in tutoring previously teaching students from years 7 to 12 in Math & English. I mostly taught VCE students in Math Methods, English & Literature. I supplementarily casually taught Biology and Human Anatomy throughout my medical degree to my colleagues through student led tutorials.
Coming from a rural public school with limited resources and teaching, I’ve had to independently steer myself throughout my education to achieve my goals. Doing both the best and worst things for my education I know first hand how to best tackle studying, classes and VCE.
I am very passionate about tutoring and it being more of a mentorship as students in the past I have found required help outside their studies. This included helping students navigate VCE as a system as well as university applications (particularly Medicine Interviews and the UCAT) to follow a pathway they were interested in. I love working with students and have always personalized my tutoring to best achieve their goals.
As a tutor I can provide you honest and critical feedback, support you getting ahead of class and learn fundamentals and essentially help you best tackle VCE in earlier stages to best maximize your ATAR.
